Our Map Collection
The Broer Map library currently consists of over 40,000 maps in flat, folded, rolled, digital or in atlases. The collection covers in detail nearly every corner of the world and date from the last three centuries of map making. A growing number of these maps are available online.
The maps range in quality from government issued topographic maps to commercial maps produced by advertisers covering a local community. The collection does not focus on political or road maps, but rather any type of map covering an area from any era. We have official road, street, topographic, bathymetric, nautical as well as aeronatical maps. Additionally, the collection consists of historical military and era maps such as the World War II map collection.
In one place we have 19th century topographical maps along with their 21st century counterpart and many in-between so you can see the changes that have taken place over time.
